Universal High School

We’ve been here at Ashok Van on Shiv Vallabh Road for quite a while now. Dahisar East is a busy part of town, but our school stays tucked away just enough to keep things manageable. Most mornings start pretty early with kids coming in from the nearby buildings. It gets really loud during the lunch breaks, but that’s just how schools are supposed to be, I guess. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids are ready for their exams when the time comes. The building isn't anything fancy or modern, but it does the job for the families living around here. Teachers often stay late to finish up their grading or just to talk about how the week has been going. It’s a lot of daily work running a place like this in a city like Mumbai. Traffic on the main road can be a bit of a headache during drop-off and pick-up times, but we’ve learned how to manage it over the years. We have the usual classrooms and some open space for sports and activities. It’s a very practical setup. People in this part of Dahisar know us well. We don’t try to be something we aren’t. It’s just a local high school where students spend their years learning the basics of life and academics. Some days go smoother than others. Sometimes a fan breaks or the bells are off, but we just keep moving and doing what needs to be done.
