Universal High School

Our school is located in Ashok Van, on Shiv Vallabh Road in the Dahisar area of Mumbai. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded it can get, but Ashok Van is a bit more of a residential pocket. Universal High School is a big building with several floors. We have a lot of students, so the hallways are usually buzzing with energy. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just have classes, teachers, and students. The morning commute for some of our staff can be long because of the Mumbai traffic, but we’re all here by the time the bell rings. We have a decent playground, which is a luxury in this city. The kids really make use of it during their breaks. We follow the standard board requirements and keep our focus on the classroom work. It can get a bit loud during the change of periods, with hundreds of feet moving on the stairs. We have a small canteen area where the kids can get snacks. The office is always busy with parents coming in for one thing or another. We try to keep things running as smoothly as we can. It’s a typical city school where everyone is busy and there’s always something going on. We've been part of the Dahisar community for a good while now and know the area well.
