Unity Steel Traders

Our yard is located at 120 Mazgaon, right near the old Britannia Biscuit Company. If you are in the area on a clear day, you can usually smell the biscuits when the wind blows the right way toward us. We deal in all kinds of steel and have been doing it from this same spot for a very long time. It’s a noisy, dusty business, but it's what we know how to do. We have stacks of iron rods, metal sheets, and heavy pipes all over the place. Most of our day is spent loading up trucks or checking the new inventory that comes in on the big trailers. It’s heavy physical work and we definitely don't wear suits or ties in this yard. We are usually covered in a bit of grit and grease by the end of our shift. People from all over the city come down to Mazgaon to pick up supplies for their construction projects or small workshops. We just give them the current price and help them load their vehicles. There’s no fancy sales talk or smooth presentations here. We just provide the steel they need and keep our records straight in the office. The neighborhood is very industrial and busy, which suits the way we work just fine. We’ve seen the area change quite a lot over the years, but the biscuit factory is still a good landmark for finding our gate. It’s a simple operation run by people who work hard.
