Unity Auto Industries

You can find us at the Raja Bahadur Bansilal Building on J. Shankarshet Road. We are at number 66/68, right in the Opera House area on Girgaum Road. Unity Auto Industries has been here for a long time, and the shop is unit number 8. It is a very old building with narrow hallways and a lot of character. We deal in auto parts, and our shop is basically full from floor to ceiling with boxes. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific part because we have so many different things for various car models. We have to use a tall ladder and it gets a bit dusty up there. The Opera House neighborhood is famous for car parts, so it is always very busy with people looking for repairs. We spend a lot of time talking to mechanics who come in with a broken piece and ask if we have a replacement. Sometimes we have to dig through the old stock for an hour just to find one small gear. It is not a modern store with bright lights. It is a bit dark and smells like old metal and oil, but that is how it has always been. We do all our billing by hand on a small wooden table near the door. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory. It is a steady way to make a living and we like the community here.
