Up on the 2nd floor of Dalamal Towers in Nariman Point, you'll find United Steel & Bearing Co. It’s a tight spot in the A-Wing, but it works for what we do every day. Dealing with bearings and steel means we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking inventory lists. The view isn't much to talk about, mostly just the other buildings and the street noise coming up from below. It gets pretty crowded in the office when everyone is in at once. There’s always a stack of invoices or shipping papers that need sorting. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a lobby with a fountain. It’s just us sitting at desks making sure the orders are correct before they go out. Sometimes the elevators in the tower take forever, so we’ve learned to be patient. We’ve been in this building for a long time, and the neighbors are all pretty familiar now. Dealing with steel is heavy business, but here in the office, it’s mostly just data and logistics. We try to keep things organized, even if the filing cabinets are getting a bit full. It’s a practical way to spend the day. Usually, the phone is the loudest thing in the room. We don't bother with a lot of corporate talk or big meetings. If someone needs a specific part, we look for it and let them know the price. Simple as that. No big mystery or complicated sales pitches here.
