We run Ullah Ac Taxi Services from our base at 269 Cuffe Parade, right in the 5th Main of Rpc Layout. To be honest, we are hardly ever sitting in the office. Most of the time we are out on the roads or in the driveway checking the cars. Running a taxi business means you are always on call. We decided to focus on AC taxis because the Mumbai humidity is just too much for most people to handle. We spend a lot of time cleaning the interiors and making sure the air conditioning is actually blowing cold. It is a lot of maintenance work that people do not see. The office itself is just a small room with a table and a couple of phones. We keep the car keys in a wooden box on the wall. Cuffe Parade is a nice area, though the traffic in Rpc Layout can get a bit congested during the rush hours. We know all the best routes to take when the main roads are blocked. We do not use any fancy apps or high-tech systems. People just call us up and we tell them if we have a car ready. It is a very hands-on business. We have a small team of drivers who have been with us for years. We trust each other and just try to keep the wheels turning every day.
