Ttrue Steel

Ttrue Steel is a small shop located on the ground floor at number 48, 151 on Carpenter Street. Being on the ground floor makes it a bit easier for us to move the heavier steel pieces in and out, though Carpenter Street itself can be a real squeeze sometimes with all the deliveries going on. We have Shop No. 1, so we are right there where people can see us. It’s a noisy place to work, honestly. Between the saws and the trucks outside, there is always something going on. We’ve got stacks of different steel products filling up most of the space. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. Our days are pretty much the same—open up, check what came in, and help whoever walks through the door. We wear work clothes that get dirty pretty fast, and there’s always a bit of grease around. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of our business happens face to face or over a quick phone call. We’ve seen the street change over the years, but our shop stays mostly the same. It’s just a place where steel gets bought and sold. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a local business trying to get the work done and go home at the end of the day. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight.
