We are tucked away in the Laheri Building, Hop Number 4, right on the ground floor. It’s located on 5th Khetwadi Lane in Girgaon, near the Alankar Cinema on SVP Road. Tirthankar Steel & Alloys India Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a while now. Being on the ground floor makes it easier to move things in and out, which is good because steel and alloys can be very heavy. The shop is full of various metal pieces, pipes, and rods. It’s a bit dark inside because the building is older, but we have plenty of lights to see what we are doing. We spend our days helping people find specific types of alloys they need for their projects. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website to show off. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been in this spot for years and people in the area know we are here. The traffic around Alankar Cinema can get pretty bad, especially in the evenings when shows are starting. We usually just stay focused on what’s inside the shop and ignore the noise outside. Our staff knows their way around all the different grades of metal we keep in stock. It’s a lot of lifting, measuring, and cutting. We don't use much corporate jargon here. We just tell you what we have. Sometimes we run out of specific items and have to wait for more to arrive from the suppliers.
