We are based in the Ratanshi Muljee Building over on Mangesh Shenoy Street, right in the Fort area. If you have ever walked around Fort, you know these old buildings have a very heavy, historic feel to them. Times Business Solutions Ltd runs the Timesjobs.Com operations from this spot. It is a busy place with people constantly moving in and out of the building. The office itself is packed with computers and people trying to manage all the different job listings that go up on the website every hour. Since we are in the Mumbai 01 zone, we are right in the heart of the old business district where everything started. It is always noisy outside and there is usually someone selling tea or snacks right near the main entrance. Inside, we just focus on the technology and the data that keeps the whole job board running for everyone. We have got desks squeezed into almost every corner to make enough room for the staff. It is definitely not a silent workplace; there is always a constant hum of conversation and the sound of people typing away. We deal with all the boring behind-the-scenes stuff that makes the website actually work for people who are out there looking for jobs. Some days the air conditioning has a hard time keeping up with the Mumbai heat, but we just keep going. Working in an old building like this has its own charms and its share of headaches too, but it is where we have been for a long time.
