The Time Gallery

You can find us at 19 Gurudwar Building, which is right opposite Chitra Cinema in Asha Nagar, Dadar East. Being across from the cinema means we see a lot of people coming and going, especially on the weekends when a new movie is out. The Time Gallery has been a part of this street for quite a few years now. We mostly deal with all kinds of watches and clocks, doing repairs and selling pieces that we think people will actually use. It’s a small shop, and the walls are covered with ticking sounds from all the different clocks we have hanging up. It gets pretty loud in here at the top of the hour. We don’t have any fancy displays with bright lights; it’s just glass cases and some old wooden shelves. I usually sit at the back with my tools, working on some old watch that someone brought in. My hands are usually a bit oily from the tiny gears. People in Dadar East know us as the place to go when their battery dies or a strap breaks. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything. It’s just a local shop where we know our customers by their faces. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if the movie crowd is still hanging around. It’s a good spot to watch the world go by while we work on the gears. We hope the ticking doesn't bother people too much when they come in.
