The Saraswati Metal Cutting & Pressing Works

We have two units, at number 37 and 45 in Gandhi Bazar, over in Chembur Colony. Being in Chembur East, we are right in the heart of a very active and crowded neighborhood. The shop is usually very noisy because of the heavy pressing machines we use. We cut sheets of metal and press them into different shapes for various industrial uses. It has been our trade for many years and we know it well. Gandhi Bazar is always busy, so getting materials in and out on the trucks can be a challenge. We have a few guys who have been with us for a long time and they know exactly how the machines behave. It is not the cleanest work, as our hands are always stained with oil or grease, but it is what we do. We do not have a website or anyone doing marketing for us. Most of our customers are locals or businesses from the surrounding areas who know we do a decent job with the metal. We just try to keep our machines well-maintained so we do not have any downtime. There is no big philosophy behind it, we just show up, do the work, and make sure the pieces are cut to the right size. Some days it is hot and the work is slow, but we just keep the shop open and stay busy. (249 words)
