The Metals Factory

You can find us over at 83 Dr. Maheshwari Road. We are based in Bit Chawl Number 7, specifically in Godown Number 1. This is the Umerkhadi area of Mumbai, which is always packed with people and activity. Being near the Railway Station and Sandhurst Road makes it easy to get around, but the traffic can be a nightmare sometimes. We call ourselves The Metals Factory. It’s more of a warehouse and processing spot than a shiny factory. The building is an old chawl, so space is tight, but we’ve organized the godown to hold as much as possible. We deal with all kinds of metal parts and materials throughout the day. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving crates around. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, someone is just shouting over the noise of the trucks outside. We’ve been operating in this part of Mumbai for many years. We’ve seen the neighborhood change, but the hustle remains the same. It’s a gritty, practical place to work. We don't have any big mission statements. We just try to get the orders right and get them out the door. It’s dusty and loud, but it’s our corner of the city. We just keep things simple and focus on the metal, making sure we stay on top of the inventory in this crowded spot.
