The Fifth Element

The Fifth Element is located in a row house, which is a bit different from the usual shops in buildings. We are at Row House No 4 in Crystal Lawn Society, over in Thakur Complex, Kandivali East. Being in a society makes it feel more like a home than a business sometimes. It’s right next to V Care, so people use that as a landmark to find us. The area is quite green for Mumbai standards, and it's a bit of a walk from the main noisy parts of Thakur Complex. Inside, we have different sections for different things. It’s a bit of a maze since it's a house. We have people coming in from the nearby flats who just want to relax for an hour. It’s not a place with big neon signs or loud music. Usually, it's just the sound of someone getting their hair washed or the low hum of the air conditioner. We spend a lot of time keeping the place tidy because a row house can get dusty quickly. Sometimes the society kids are playing outside and you can hear them laughing. It’s a steady pace here. We don’t rush through things. Most people who come here have been coming for years and they know exactly where to sit. It’s just a quiet little spot tucked away in a corner of the complex, away from the heavy traffic.
