The Car Spare

The shop is located at 15 Kawli Wadi in the Veena Santoor Building. We are right across from Anandi Bai College. Being near a college means there are always students walking past, which keeps the area feeling young. We keep a lot of different parts here for cars. The shelves are pretty full, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we are looking for. It smells like metal and rubber inside, which is what you would expect. We aren't a big showroom. It’s more of a place where you come when you need a specific bolt or a light or something for your engine. The floor isn't perfectly clean because of the nature of the parts, but we know where everything is. We have a few regulars who come in from the nearby garages. It gets busy in the mornings and then slows down a bit in the heat of the afternoon. We sit on some stools and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a decent life. Kawli Wadi is a good neighborhood for this kind of work. We’ve been in the Veena Santoor Building for some time now and everyone around here knows what we do. It’s not fancy, just a room full of spares for people who need them to get back on the road.
