The Bombay International School

We are located in the Gilbert Building at Babulnath. To be more specific, it’s on the 2nd Cross Road. This is an old part of the city, and the building reflects that history. The Bombay International School has been here for a long time. The walls are thick and the windows are the old-fashioned kind. Walking through the halls, you can feel how many people have passed through here over the decades. We aren't in a shiny new glass tower. It’s a real place with creaky doors and corners that have seen better days. The area around Babulnath is usually busy with people going to the temple or heading towards Marine Drive. Our little cross road stays a bit quieter, but the city noise is always there in the background. We have several floors to manage and the stairs keep everyone fit since there isn't much of a lift. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you aren't used to the layout. We don't have a lot of extra space, so every room gets used for something. The staff room is always a bit cluttered with bags and stacks of books. We just do our daily tasks and try to keep the place running smoothly. It’s a local institution that feels like it’s just part of the neighborhood’s bones. The security guard knows most of the regular faces on the street.
