Techno Steel

Techno Steel is located at 76 V.P. Road, inside Prabhu Bhavan. We are right near the C.P. Tank Circle, which is always a whirlwind of activity. It’s a very old part of the city, and our building has that classic feel to it. Dealing with steel in such a crowded area can be tricky, especially when the big deliveries come in on the trucks. We have to be quick about unloading everything so we don't block the road for too long and get the neighbors upset. Our space is mostly taken up by racks of different steel products. We supply a lot of the local shops and small builders in the area. People just walk in off the street sometimes because they know we’ve been here for years and have what they need. It’s a family-style environment. We know many of our customers by name and usually know what they are looking for before they even ask. The office is just a desk tucked into a corner of the storage area. We don't use much fancy technology besides the basics; we still prefer to keep some of our records in handwritten ledgers. It feels more reliable and permanent that way. The noise from the C.P. Tank Circle is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just keep our heads down and focus on moving the stock. It’s a simple life, selling steel to people who need it to build things.
