Tea & Soap Center

We are at the Tea & Soap Center. You can find us at number 31 in the Shivaji Nagar Building. This is in Lower Parel. It’s an area that has changed a lot over the years, but our building stays pretty much the same. We sell exactly what the name says. Tea and soap. It’s a simple combination. The shop smells like a mix of dried leaves and fresh laundry. It’s a nice smell to work in every day. People from the neighborhood come in for their daily needs. We’ve known some of these families for a long time. The Shivaji Nagar Building is old and has a lot of character. We like being part of it. Lower Parel can be very fancy now with all the malls and big offices, but our corner is still traditional. We don’t have a website or a social media page. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for our regulars. Sometimes we sit out front and talk to the other shopkeepers. It’s a slow kind of business compared to the rest of the city. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just provide tea and soap to whoever needs it. It’s a basic life, and we’re happy with it. Number 31 is always there if you need a refill of something. We just keep things moving.
