Caf Coffee Day

This little spot in Bhandup West is where we spend most of our time. Being tucked away in Ram Nagar, inside the Laxman Chawl area, makes it a bit of a local hangout. It’s not one of those big, flashy places you see in the malls. We’re right there in Tembhipada, and things can get pretty crowded during the evening rush. Sometimes the chairs aren't perfectly aligned, and the floor might need another sweep after a busy group leaves, but we keep it going. Working at Caf Coffee Day here means knowing the faces of the people who walk past every day. The address is 400078, but most people just know us by the landmarks around the chawl. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running high. We’ve had the same group of guys coming in for years just to sit and talk. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. Mostly, it’s just the smell of coffee and the sound of the traffic outside. If you’re looking for us, we’re easy to find once you get into the lane. The neighborhood is loud and full of life, which is why we like it. We have our regular routines, like opening up early and making sure everything is ready for the first few people. It’s a job, but it’s also where we see our friends and neighbors. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It's just our everyday work and we enjoy being here.
