Tea Bags & Agarbatties

You can find us right on the ground floor of the Vijay Box building. We are located in the 352 Murlidhar Temple Compound, which is a busy little spot on JSS Road. It’s quite a lively area to work in. Between the tea bags and the agarbatties, there is always a lot going on in our small space. The temple nearby means there are always people walking past, and you can hear the bells sometimes during the day. It’s not a quiet place, but we like the energy of the neighborhood. We’ve set up our shop here because it’s convenient for getting things in and out. The compound is old, and it has that specific Mumbai feel to it where every inch of space is used for something. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we manage. We handle the tea side of things and the incense sticks too. It’s an interesting mix of smells if you think about it. One minute it's the earthy scent of the tea leaves and the next it's the perfume from the agarbatties. We don't really do much advertising. Most people just find us because they know the temple or they live around JSS Road. It’s an honest way to earn a living, just keeping the shelves stocked and dealing with the daily visitors. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but it works for us and the space is ours.
