Tata Steel Wire Division

You can find our wire division at 2/54 Khimji Nagji Chawl on Senapati Bapat Marg in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The pincode is 400 013. Lower Parel is a very crowded and busy part of the city. We are based in an old chawl, which is just how things are in this part of Mumbai. It is not a shiny new skyscraper. We have been here for a long time, and the building has a lot of history. We handle the wire division's local needs from this office. It is a bit cramped inside because we have so many files and samples around. Senapati Bapat Marg is always loud with traffic and people, so it never gets truly quiet here. We just work through the noise. It is a small team, and we all know each other’s business. We do not have a big reception area or a fancy coffee machine. We usually just send someone out to the local stall for cutting chai. It is a very grounded way of working. Most of our day is spent dealing with orders and checking on wire shipments. We do not try to make it sound more exciting than it is. It is just a regular office in a busy chawl. We have seen the whole area change around us over the years, but we are still here doing our thing. The monsoons can be a bit tricky with the old roof, but we manage.
