Our office is in the Readymoney Building on Sir Ratan Tata Marg, right off Tardeo Road. It is a busy spot in Mumbai and there is always a lot of noise from the street below. We have been working as an agency for a long time now. The building has that old charm, though the elevator is a bit slow and sometimes we just take the stairs to get things moving. Inside, it is mostly just desks, old filing cabinets, and a lot of paper. We handle various agency tasks for different clients, mostly coordinating between suppliers and making sure orders are moving. It is not a high-tech place. We use simple computers and spend a lot of time on the phone. Sometimes the monsoon makes the walls a bit damp, but we just get on with it. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to open the door for you. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the tea seller at the corner quite well. It is a steady environment. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We show up at nine, do the work, talk to the transporters, and handle the billing. The Tardeo area is always moving and we are just a small part of that daily grind. It is just a regular place where people work hard to keep the business going without much fuss or any big corporate talk.
