Somesh Omkar Swamy

I am Somesh Omkar Swamy and I live in Dahisar East. My address is B-204 in Anand Nagar. It’s a residential area that stays relatively busy because of all the families living here. Being in wing B on the second floor means I don’t have too many stairs to climb, which is a relief after a long day. Anand Nagar has its own little ecosystem with small shops and grocery stores at every corner. My apartment is where I do most of my thinking and my work. It’s a typical Mumbai flat, not too big and not too small. I have a corner set up with my table and chair. The fan wobbles a little when it's on the highest setting, but it keeps the room cool. I’ve lived here for several years now. You get to know the neighbors’ schedules, like when the kids go to school or when the water comes on in the morning. I try to keep things tidy, but papers tend to accumulate on every flat surface. Sometimes I go down to the local park in the evenings just to get some air. The building is old but sturdy enough. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when there is a wedding or a festival in the street below. Then it gets very loud, but that is just part of the charm of the area. I like being here because everything I need is within walking distance from my front door. It is not a fancy life but it is mine to live.
