Taha Plastics

If you go to the 2nd Cross in Mumbai Central, you will find us in the Diamond Cutter Building. It is a bit of a maze back here, but we are at number 424. We deal with all kinds of plastic items, mostly things for the house or for other small shops nearby. The building itself is old and has a lot of history, though mostly it is just busy with people moving crates around. We have buckets, containers, and various plastic sheets piled up almost to the ceiling. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific color, but we usually know which corner it is tucked into. The light in the shop isn't great, so we keep the door open to let in the sun from the lane. It gets quite noisy with the traffic from the main road filtering back here. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking if a delivery has arrived at the station. It is not a quiet job. There is always someone dropping off a load or asking for a price on bulk orders. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just a calculator and some paper to keep things straight. It is a practical way of doing things and it works for us. Most customers have been coming to this part of Mumbai Central for years.
