Bhoomika Borewells

At Bhoomika Borewells, we operate out of a ground floor space in Kirti Apartment. That’s at No. 4, right on Road No. 8 in Daulat Nagar, Borivali East. We are quite close to Purnima Hospital, which is how most people find us when they are looking for help. Borewell work is tough and involves a lot of heavy equipment and muddy clothes, but our office here is where we handle all the talking and planning. It’s a simple setup with some old chairs and a few maps of the local groundwater levels pinned to the walls. We’ve been working in this part of Borivali for a long time, so we know the soil and the rocks pretty well. People come to us when their old wells go dry or when they are building a new house. The apartment building is a quiet place, except for when we have to move our drilling gear in and out. We spend a lot of time out at different sites, but there’s usually someone here to answer the phone or take a message. The room is a bit small, and we have files stacked up from years of different projects. We aren't much for fancy advertising; word of mouth from the neighbors usually brings people in. It’s a dirty job once you get out in the field, but it’s very necessary for the buildings around here. We just try to be practical.
