Down at Plot No. 170 on the 4th Lane of Darukahana, things are always a bit chaotic. T. R. Steels is right in the middle of the ship-breaking and scrap metal district near Reay Road. It’s a rough-and-ready kind of place where you definitely shouldn't wear your best clothes. There is always the sound of hammers hitting metal or heavy machinery moving in the distance. The ground is usually covered in iron dust and bits of rust. We spend our days dealing with heavy steel sections and trying to keep the yard organized, which is a never-ending task. Our office is just a small cabin where we keep the paperwork away from the dirt outside. It’s not a place for meetings or polished presentations. We just talk to the drivers and the laborers and make sure the steel is going where it needs to go. The heat can be pretty intense out here in the open, and there isn't much shade. We just get on with it, though. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and we know the rhythms of the Darukahana market. It’s a dirty, loud, and tiring job, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't make any big promises, we just show up and handle the steel as it comes in and goes out. Every day is pretty much the same, filled with the smell of grease and the sound of the city.
