T R Steel

Our business is on the first floor of Building 104/114 over on 80 Feet Road. We are right by the Sugar Mar Masjid area. It’s a very industrial part of the city and there is always the sound of metal clanging around. We deal with steel, mostly plates and rods and whatever else people need for construction. The office is a bit dusty because of all the activity on the road, but we don't mind much. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking prices and talking to the guys at the yard. There are piles of samples sitting in the corner that have been there for months. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy furniture or coffee machines. We just have a few desks and some very sturdy chairs. Dealing with steel is heavy work and it can be tiring. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to stay on the line to figure out where the truck went. We know most of the contractors in this area by their first names. We don't have a big marketing plan, we just sell steel to whoever needs it for their project. It’s straightforward and we like it that way. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep too.
