T. R. Steel Traders

We are tucked away over at Plot No. 19/A in the Meher Bux building. If you know the Lokhand Bazar area, especially Kharwa Gali on Falkland Road, then you know it’s a hub for all things metal. Being at 301-Falkland Road puts us right in the thick of it. It’s a dusty, loud place but that’s just how a steel market is supposed to be. We’ve been trading here for quite some time now. Most of the other shop owners around here are our friends or at least people we’ve known for a decade. We deal in various steel products and it keeps us on our feet. The space isn’t very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack things. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big truck tries to navigate the narrow lanes, but we always manage to make it work. It’s just me and a few others working here, making sure the orders are filled and the weights are right. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming to this bazar for years. It’s hard work, lifting and moving heavy stuff, but it’s a solid trade. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing every day. Dealing with the steel business in such a crowded market is a challenge, but we have gotten used to the pace of this neighborhood.
