We spend most of our time over here at St Andrews Church in Bandra West. If you walk by in the afternoon, you can usually hear the music coming through the windows. It is a bit loud sometimes, but that is just how it goes when people are trying to learn their steps. The floors get scuffed up pretty fast and we are always sweeping them. We started this because we liked moving around and it seemed better than sitting at a desk all day. We have kids coming in after school and then some older folks in the evening who just want to keep their legs moving. Bandra is a busy place, and finding a quiet spot to practice is hard, so we just make do with the space we have here. Sometimes the fans don't work right and it gets sweaty, but nobody seems to mind much. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. It is just us, some speakers, and whoever shows up to dance. We spend a lot of time repeating the same three minutes of a song until everyone gets it right. It takes patience. Some days are better than others, and sometimes the music player acts up, but we keep at it. People know us around here because we have been in this spot for a while now. It is just a normal part of the neighborhood routine for us and the students who come by every week.
