Swami Vivekanand International School

Our school is located on MG Road, specifically in the Parekh Nagar section of Kandivali West. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know it can get very crowded and loud. Our building has been standing here for a long time, and we like to think of it as a steady part of the neighborhood. We do not use a lot of corporate talk here. We are just a school where teachers come to work and students come to learn. There is nothing too polished or perfect about us, just real people doing a job they find important. The halls are usually full of the sound of kids talking or the scraping of chairs. We have some trees on the property that provide a bit of shade, which is nice during the hotter months. Being on MG Road means we are easy to find, though parking can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. Most of the families who send their children here have lived in Kandivali for generations. We have seen parents who were once students here bringing their own kids back to start their education. It creates a nice sense of continuity. We do not have a big mission statement on the wall. We just try to make sure that the school stays a good place for learning and that everyone feels welcome when they walk in. It's a local school for local people.
