Suresh Steel

Suresh Steel is located on the first floor of Farida House. We’re over in Khalosiwad, Jamalpur, specifically at 8 C.P. Tank. It’s a very old part of the city. The building itself has been there forever. We deal with steel, mostly just supplying what builders or small workshops need. It’s a heavy business. There’s always the sound of metal moving around nearby. Our office is simple, just a few chairs and a desk covered in invoices. We don't have a big sales team. If you call, you’re usually talking to one of us who’s been here for years. Jamalpur is a tight squeeze for trucks, so getting deliveries in and out is always a bit of a puzzle. We’ve learned to manage it over time though. We don't have any fancy brochures. People know what they need and they know where to find us. It’s a lot of repeat business from people we’ve known for decades. The air in this part of town is always thick with the smell of industry and old buildings. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. It’s not a glamorous job, but steel is something people always need. We’re just a small part of the local trade here in Farida House. Most days the stairs are a bit dusty, but that is just the nature of working with metal in Jamalpur.
