Our shop is located right at Kennedy Bridge 2. It’s a very central spot and there is always something going on outside. The bridge is constantly busy with cars and pedestrians, so there’s a never-ending hum of activity. We deal in all sorts of metal, and you can see it stacked up if you peek inside. The space is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the area we have. The walls are lined with shelves that hold various metal parts and scraps. We don't have air conditioning, so we just leave the front open to get a breeze, even if it brings in the city noise. Our desks are tucked into the back, piled high with invoices and delivery notes. We’ve been here at Kennedy Bridge for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite the changes, our routine stays the same. We open up, check what metal needs to go out, and talk to the regulars who stop by. Sometimes people just walk in off the street because they saw the metal through the door. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a functional place for metal trade. We work until the evening lights come on the bridge, then we pack up and head out like everyone else in this busy city.
