Super Optical Industries

The workshop is over in Malad West, right on Odhav Road in the Vallabhnagar Society. It’s not too far from Kach Pada if you know the area. Super Optical Industries is mostly just me and a few others handling frames and lenses all day long. My eyes get tired looking at the small parts sometimes, but you get used to that after a few years. We moved into this spot because it was close to where most of us live. The space isn’t very big, so we have to keep everything organized or we’d never find the right screws for the glasses. It gets hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We handle the daily orders that come in from the local shops. There’s always a stack of paperwork on the desk that I never seem to get through, but the actual work with the optics is what matters. People stop by asking for directions quite a bit since we’re near the main road. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a place where we get the work done. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing them instead of making things. That’s just part of running a small business in Malad. We like being part of the society here and we don't plan on moving.
