Sunny Metal

We’ve been running Sunny Metal for a while now. You can find us right over at Plot No. 1, near the Shiv Mandir. It’s in Kaiya Chawl, just past Gohil Studio on Rani Sati Marg in Malad East. It is a busy spot but we like it here. People often ask where exactly we are because the lanes can be a bit tricky, but once you see the temple, you know you’re close. We handle different kinds of metal work day in and day out. It’s hard work, dusty sometimes, but it’s what we know. The shop isn't fancy. It is just a practical space where we get things done. My brother and I usually open up early in the morning. We take orders, look at sketches, and try to make sure everything fits the way it should. Sometimes the machines act up or the delivery truck gets stuck in Malad traffic, which happens more than I'd like. That’s just how it goes in this part of town. We don't have a big office or a reception desk. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Most of our neighbors know us by name now. We just focus on the metal and making sure the pieces are cut right. If you’re coming from the station side, just keep an eye out for the studio. We’ll probably be there working on something. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and our customers.
