Sun Shine

Sun Shine is tucked away at No. 75 inside the Hi Life Mall on PM Road. If you’re familiar with Santacruz West, you know the mall. It’s a decent place to be because of the air conditioning, especially during the humid months. Our shop isn't one of those massive brand outlets. It’s a smaller unit where we keep things fairly simple. We spend the day tidying the shelves and helping whoever walks through the door. Some people are just killing time before a movie, while others are local residents who shop here regularly. PM Road is always a mess of traffic outside, so being inside the mall feels like a different world. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a team of designers. It’s just us running the daily operations. We know the security guards and the folks at the other shops in Hi Life. It’s a bit of a small community inside the building. Sometimes the mall is really quiet, and we just stand around talking or checking the inventory again. Other times, like on weekends, it gets quite crowded and we have to move fast. The shop has its quirks, like a light that flickers sometimes, but it’s our space and we like it. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just open the shop, sell our goods, and go home to Santacruz at night.
