You can find Sumpoorna Portfolio Ltd on the second floor of a building on S V Road in Malad West. We’ve been based here in Santacruz West for some time now, dealing with the daily ups and downs of the market. It’s mostly just us sitting at desks, looking at numbers and talking to people about their money. Finance can be a bit dry, we know that, but it is important to the people who walk through our door. The office is pretty simple, just a few chairs and some computers. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that because we prefer to just focus on the spreadsheets. Sometimes the noise from S V Road gets a bit loud, especially during rush hour, but we just keep the windows shut and keep working. People come to us because they want someone to look at their portfolios without a lot of fluff. We tell them what we see, even if it isn't what they want to hear. Dealing with investments means there is always something changing, so we spend a lot of time reading news and checking data. It is a lot of responsibility, but we've gotten used to the pace of it. We are just a group of people who are good with numbers and like helping out our neighbors in Malad. It’s a straightforward job and we try to do it right every day without making a big deal out of it.
