Suman Nemani

Being on Hughes Road 72 is alright, though the rent is what it is. I’ve lived in this city a long time and ended up here doing this. Suman Nemani isn’t some big corporation with hundreds of workers. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others handling everything. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just staring at the computer screen. The window looks out onto the street and you see all kinds of people walking by. It’s a good spot because everything is close, but the noise can get to you after a few hours. We don’t really do anything special for our anniversary or have big meetings. We just show up, do the work, and go home. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up and we have to walk the stairs, which is a bit of a pain. The walls are painted a dull white and there are stacks of papers everywhere. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine. It’s just where we work. We don't have a mission statement or a goal to change the world. We just want to finish the day’s tasks and maybe get some decent food on the way back. Hughes Road is always moving. We are just a small part of that movement at number 72. It’s quiet enough inside when the doors are shut, which is nice.
