Sudarshan English High School & Junior College

We are based over at Goregaon East in the Jewel Rock Industries Building. It’s Plot 9/3 on Wallbhat Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy it gets around Hub Mall and Cama Estate. Our school and junior college are right in the middle of all that activity. It’s a bit of an industrial feel because of the building we are in, but once you get inside the classrooms, it’s all about the students. We have these long corridors and heavy doors. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the bells go off and everyone is moving between classes. We have students coming from all over Goregaon and even further. The walk from the station can be a bit long when it’s raining, but the kids manage. We don’t have a big playground, just the space we have in the building. We spend a lot of time organizing schedules and making sure there are enough benches for the afternoon college batches. The staff room is always full of stacks of notebooks and half-empty tea cups. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but that’s just how schools are. We don’t have a fancy PR team to write our stories. We are just a group of teachers and staff trying to keep things running smoothly in a very busy part of the city. We deal with the Mumbai heat and the crowds just like everyone else. It is just daily life here.
