Subhash Trivedi runs this accounting practice out of the Andhra Association building. It’s located in room 413, right across from the Antop Hill Post Office in Wadala East. It is a pretty handy spot because everyone knows where the post office is. Being in Mumbai 400 037 means we are in a part of the city that stays quite active throughout the day. The office itself is simple and focuses on the work at hand. We handle a lot of tax filings, audits, and general accounting for people in the area. It’s mostly just sitting at a desk and going through papers. The building has a lot of other offices too, so there is always someone coming or going in the hallway. We’ve been here for a while and have gotten used to the rhythm of Wadala. Some days are just spent catching up on emails or filing documents with the government. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or anything like that. We just have what we need to get the records straight. The view out the window is just the street and the post office across the way. It’s a very local operation. Most people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood who need their taxes sorted out. We don’t make a big fuss about things, we just do the work and try to keep everything organized for the next day.
