Our spot at 132/E Bhagatwadi is right in the heart of the action near Kabutar Khana on Bhuleshwar Road. Subhash Steel Centre has been here for years, and we’ve seen the streets get busier every single year. The lanes are very narrow, so when we have deliveries, it can be a real struggle to get the trucks through. We usually have to do all that work very early in the morning before the crowd arrives on Bhuleshwar Road. The building we are in is quite old and has that specific smell of metal and old stones. We keep everything stacked up as high as we can reach. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room for visitors. If you come to 132/E, you’ll just see us working among the stacks. We like the hustle and bustle of Bhagatwadi even if it gets a bit overwhelming at times. There is a sense of history here that you don't find in the newer parts of the city. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decor. Our focus is just on keeping the shop running and handling our inventory. It's a simple, practical way to do things and it's worked for us for a very long time now. We plan on staying near Kabutar Khana for as long as we can because this place feels like home to us.
