Sterling And Wilson Solar Pvt Ltd is up on the 14th floor of the Universal Majestic building. We are located on P.L. Lokhande Marg in Chembur West. Being on the 14th floor means we are high above the street noise, but you can still hear the city life if you open a window. Chembur is a busy part of Mumbai, and getting here in the morning can be a real struggle with the traffic. We spend our days working on solar projects. It involves a lot of coordination between the people in the office and the people out at the sites. We aren't into using a lot of corporate buzzwords. We just talk like normal people do. If there’s a problem, we find a way to fix it without making a big deal out of it. The office is usually filled with the sound of typing and people talking on their phones. We have a small pantry where we make tea and eat our tiffins. It's not a glamorous life, but it’s good, steady work. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now. Some of us have been here since the company was much smaller. We’ve seen the solar industry grow, but we still do things the same way—one step at a time. We focus on getting the details right. If the drawings aren't correct, the whole project goes wrong, so we spend a lot of time double-checking everything before it goes out.
