Fiber Opti Ink

Fiber Opti Ink is tucked away in D-108 within the Ghatkopar Industrial Estate. If you know Mumbai, you know that L.B.S. Marg is one of those roads that is always packed with cars and noise. Being in Ghatkopar West means we are right in the thick of things. Our unit is just one of many in this big industrial complex. We deal with fiber optics and different kinds of inks, which is a weird combination if you think about it, but it works for us. The space is filled with reels of cable and the smell of printing materials. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so much stock, but we manage to find a path through the boxes. Most of us take the local train and then a short rickshaw ride to get here every morning. The industrial estate has a very specific feel to it—lots of metal gates, small trucks unloading, and people eating lunch on the stairs. We aren't a big flashy company; we’re just a bunch of people who know a lot about cables and ink. Some days the humidity in Mumbai makes everything feel sticky, and the fans in the workshop don't do much, but we just keep at it. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the neighbors in D-107 and D-109 are good people. We just do our thing and try to stay out of the traffic.
