Steel Trade

Our place is down in Darukhana, specifically at Plot No-13, Unit No-7. We are in Gala No-5 on Magazine Street. If you’ve ever been to the Oza Market area near Rey Road, you know it’s a very busy part of the city. It’s mostly warehouses and metal shops around here. The air usually smells like iron and old grease. We spend our days moving steel and talking to transporters. It’s hard work and the sun can be brutal in the afternoons when we are out in the yard. The office is small and usually has a thick layer of dust from the street, but that’s Darukhana for you. We don’t have much room for anything that isn't related to the trade. Everything is stacked up high to save space. We’ve been operating from this gala for years. It’s a tight-knit community of traders here; everyone knows everyone. When a truck arrives, it’s a bit of a scramble to get it unloaded without blocking the whole street. We don’t bother with fancy signs or anything like that. People who need steel know where to find us. We just focus on the weight and the quality of what we are moving. It’s an honest day’s work in a rough part of town. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we always catch up by the end of the week. That is just how the trade goes.
