Steel Fab Engineering Corporation

Our office is located at 5 Rustom Building, which is number 29 on V Nariman Road. It is right in the Fountain area, so it is always crowded outside with people going to the courts or the banks nearby. Steel Fab Engineering Corporation has been in this part of town for years. The building is one of those old ones with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it a bit cooler than the street outside. We do a lot of our engineering planning and coordination from this small room. It is a bit of a walk up if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. There are blueprints and metal samples scattered on the tables most of the time. We don't really have a receptionist or a big waiting room. If you come in, you usually just walk straight into where we are working. The Fountain area has changed a lot, but our corner of the Rustom Building stays mostly the same. We listen to the traffic on Nariman Road while we work on our calculations and designs. Sometimes the noise is a bit much, but you get used to it after a few months. It is a practical space for us. We are not interested in having a polished corporate look. We just want enough light to see what we are doing and enough coffee to keep us going through the afternoon. We usually stay late when there is a deadline, just like everyone else around here.
