Steel Co.

Steel Co. is our small business down on M.S. Ali Road. Specifically, we are at 16, Chota Sonapur Lane. It’s a narrow lane, so it can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We deal with steel, which is heavy and tough work. We’ve been in this spot for years, and most of the people around here know us. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a place where steel is kept and sold. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to move things around, but we get it done. We aren't interested in being the biggest steel company in the city. We just want to serve the local contractors and builders who come to us. We know our regulars and what they usually need. It’s a practical life. We don’t use marketing slogans because we think the steel speaks for itself. If someone needs a certain length or type, we see if we have it. The work at Chota Sonapur Lane is honest and repetitive, but we don’t mind. We aren't corporate people; we are just workers. M.S. Ali Road is always busy, and we are just one part of that daily grind. Steel Co. has stayed pretty much the same over the years, and that suits us just fine. We just keep doing what we know how to do every day. It’s not much, but it’s ours.
