Steel Carriers

Steel Carriers has been operating out of the Bpt Building for a long time. Our office is number 13, and it sits on Maylat Bunder Road. If you are looking for us, we are right across from the Yellow Gate Police Chowky in the Masjid East area. It is a busy part of Chinch Bandar with a lot of heavy trucks moving in and out all day. You can hear the sounds of the port and the traffic constantly. Being near the police chowky means there is always something happening outside the window. The building itself has that old Mumbai feel to it. We deal with a lot of paperwork related to moving steel and heavy loads, which is why the location makes sense for us. The air around here usually smells like salt from the sea and diesel from the engines. Inside the office, things are pretty straightforward. We have desks piled with logs and transport records. It is not the kind of place where you find fancy decorations. It is a working office for people who don't mind a bit of dust and noise. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to drivers who come in to get their instructions. We know the tea seller downstairs pretty well by now. It is a tough area but it is where the work is, so we stay put. Sometimes we have to wait a while for the cargo to move, but that is just how it goes.
