Stec Stainless Steel P.L.

Our workshop is at the Bombay Cotton Mills Estate, inside the Hakoba Compound on Dattaram Lad Marg. It’s an old area with a lot of history in the walls. Being at number 77, we have a decent amount of space for all the stainless steel we have to move. The compound is always full of activity and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze for the delivery trucks to get in and out. We spend most of our time dealing with metal, so there’s always a bit of noise from cutting or moving things. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t spend much time sitting at desks; we’re usually out on the floor checking the stock. The dust and the smell of metal are just part of the daily life here. We’ve been in this compound for quite a bit and we’ve seen the neighborhood change around us. Despite the changes, our routine stays pretty much the same. We wake up, get to the estate, and start going through the steel pieces. It’s honest work and it can be quite tiring by the end of the shift. We don't have a polished front office, just a small corner where we keep the records and handle the calls. People know where to find us because we’ve been here so long. We just focus on the steel and try to keep things moving. We usually end the day by making sure everything is covered up and ready for the next morning.
