We are based over at 15-16/A in Narayan Plaza, which is just off Saki Vihar Road in Mumbai. If you know Mumbai, you know how the traffic can be around here. Our office is a bit of a hub for all the moving jobs we do around the city and beyond. There are stacks of inventory sheets on every desk and the smell of packing tape is pretty much everywhere. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see us working. We handle a lot of different moves, from small flats to bigger places. It involves a lot of coordinating with the guys on the trucks. Saki Vihar Road is always a mess with construction and trucks, so we are used to delays. We try to stay organized, but with so many boxes moving around, it can get chaotic. We have a few old fans that wobble while they spin, trying to keep the heat down. It is a local operation and we know the shortcuts through the city better than most. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. We just write down what needs to be moved and we go do it. It is tiring work, especially in the Mumbai heat, but it is what we have been doing for a long time. The evening shift usually ends with us checking the next day's route and making sure the fuel cards are ready.
