Our office is up on the 5th floor of the Gulab Building, right on P. D. Mello Road. It is number 237. Being near the docks and the main road means there is always noise from the traffic and the ships outside. Indial Shipping Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this spot for a while now. We spend our time dealing with paperwork, customs forms, and tracking where containers are across the ocean. It is a lot of sitting in front of screens and talking on the phone to people at the port. The elevator in this building can be a bit slow sometimes, so we get used to waiting for it. Inside the office, it is mostly stacks of files and maps of shipping routes. We handle the logistics of moving things from one place to another. It sounds simple but there are always delays or weather issues that mess things up. We do not have fancy furniture or a big reception area. It is just a workspace where we try to stay organized. P. D. Mello Road is always crowded, so getting to work is a bit of a challenge every morning. We have got a small team here who knows the ins and outs of the shipping business. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to make sure the cargo gets to where it is supposed to go. Most of our day is spent making sure the numbers match and the dates are correct. It is steady work.
