Star Sheet Fabrication is located at Unit No. 1713 in Ram Nagar. We are part of the Lotus Colony in the Shivaji Nagar area of Govandi. If you are coming this way, you just need to look for the Shivaji Nagar signal, as we are quite close to that main junction. Govandi is a very densely packed place, and our unit is right in the thick of it. We specialize in working with metal sheets, which means there is a lot of shearing and bending going on. The sound of metal being cut is pretty constant throughout the day. It is a tight space, so we have to be careful when moving long sheets of steel around so we don't hit anything. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we have our work lamps for the precise stuff. Ram Nagar has a lot of small businesses like ours, so there is a sense of community among the workers here. We often share a tea at the local stall during our break. The work is physically demanding and you have to be careful with the sharp edges of the sheets. We don't have any fancy office space, just a desk in the corner covered in measurements and scraps of paper. It is a gritty, honest way to make a living. We just focus on getting the dimensions right for whatever project we are on. It is usually quite dusty, but that is part of the job.
