Standard Steel Sales

I've been working at 127, Magazine Street for quite a few years now. If you’ve ever spent time in Darukhana, you know how busy this part of Mazgaon can get with all the industrial stuff going on. Here at Standard Steel Sales, we don't really have a fancy front office or anything like that. It is mostly just a warehouse space where we keep the stock and a small corner where I sit with my old desk. Most days are spent moving heavy things around or talking to the truck drivers who come in and out. The air is always a bit metallic smelling, which I guess is normal for a steel place. Magazine Street itself is always crowded with vehicles and people shouting. Sometimes it takes forever just to get a tea from the stall across the way. I spend a lot of time checking the inventory against the handwritten lists I keep in my drawer. It is not a high-tech operation, but it works for us. We know our neighbors, and they know us. The building is old and the walls could use a scrub, but we are more focused on the work than the looks of the place. My hands are usually stained by the end of the day. It is just a regular, gritty job in a busy part of the city. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as they come. It's a bit loud with the trucks, but you get used to it after a while.
